The Committee on the Shelterless (COTS) program is currently seeking compassionate high school students in the Petaluma Area to take part in its Mary Isaak Fellowship Program.
Back in 1988, Mary Isaak acted after seeing families sleeping in their cars in downtown Petaluma. She founded COTS when she set up beds with a friend in a church basement.
COTS serves 2,400 Sonoma County residents each year. Thanks to the incredible, groundbreaking work of the non-profit organization, its residents and its staff and volunteers, clients find housing at about twice the national rate.
An innovative new Fellows program meets from September 18th through December 11th, 2017 with three classroom setting sessions, a schedule to volunteer and advocate as well as a fellowship group project.
