Oh Yum! Criminal Baking Company's Best Little Carrot Cake, Ever!

I'd spotted these sweet, chubby little carrot cakes in the fridge at Aqus Cafe earlier in the week, but it took a belated birthday lunch date with a girlfriend (who was, at least until after our salads, decidedly not eating cake at this particular age and stage) to finally throw calorific caution to the wind, break the rules and share one!

Split at least a couple of ways, how could all this veggie goodness possibly be a bad thing? And if you're a frosting freak, you absolutely have to have yourself a bite of the appropriately named Criminal Baking Company's villainous, corrupting carrot cake, served also at the Redwood Cafe in Cotati.
