Author of The American Quilt, A History of Cloth and Comfort, 1750 -1950, Roderick Kiracofe will be speaking at the historic Petaluma Women's Club during the 2012 Petaluma Quilt Show, Saturday August 11th.
Kiracofe is considered the country's leading authority on quilting history and he will be showcasing his expert knowledge during quest speaking engagements at 12.30 pm and 3 pm at the Women's Club, at 518 B Street, Petaluma.
The Petaluma Quilt Guild welcomes crowds to the city's Victorian downtown to tour streets, historic churches and clubs that play host to hundreds of stunning, quilted creations.
Tickets ($5) for admission into the indoor event venues are available at the Petaluma Museum, on Fourth Street. This colorful, cultural and eclectic event takes place from 10 am to 5 pm.
