Beyond the Borders - A Writer's Field Trip to Neighboring Napa County

"Beyond the Border - Writer's Field Trip to Napa County"

Sultry 77 degrees once this morning's mist and low cloud cover had moved on - a spectacular drive up along highway 12 to Calistoga Road and over the majestic redwood range on St Helena Road to visit family-owned wineries on Spring Mountain Road and beyond, Eastwards over to Lake Hennessy's hidden hills and valleys off the Silverado Trail.

Writing today for popular Wine Country This Week, though could not miss the opportunity to share my travels with you, at least in photo snapshot form! My favorite parts of Napa County are those winding, wooded treasure trails far above the busy valley floor. Though a pit-stop for coffee and a multigrain muffin in swanky St Helena is never amiss.
