Southern SoCo longtime friend and fellow Petaluman, Felice Charlton has recently been elected to the Board of Directors of the California Artisan Cheese Guild.
Felice is the National Sales Director for one of my favorite artisan cheese producers, Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company — award-winning dairy and cheese makers owned by the Giacomini family of Tomales Bay.
The California Artisan Cheese Guild is an awesome non-profit group supporting educational outreach for the ever growing California artisan cheese community.
Members include cheesemakers, professionals and enthusiasts. The CACG oversees both the California Artisan Cheese Festival (March 24th to 27th, 2017) based in Petaluma (http://artisancheesefestival.com ) and the San Francisco Cheese Fest ( www.sfcheesefest.com ).
Felice, a California coastal native, lives in town with her lovely family and is active in the blossoming North Bay specialty foods industry. What a great commute out west, when not on the road around the country representing our region.
