Rebuilding Together Petaluma needs you and 149 of your friends, family and coworkers!
This terrific non-profit will be improving the health and safety in seven local homes owned by low income veterans, disabled people and/or seniors who dream of having a safer healthier, more livable home.
Projects are as follows: the home of a delightful world war II veteran who needs a bathroom remodel; an 88 year old widow who needs a ramp; a stroke victim who needs major accessibility changes; preparing two group homes for homeless veterans; home and garden improvements of an 84 year old avid gardener and renovating RTP’s future new home location at the Sonoma Marin fairgrounds.
Are you able to help revitalize homes and lives this October 15th, 2016?
RTP will need over 250 volunteers to work on 10 projects. The group needs a variety of skilled trades people for plumbing, electrical and carpentry and also at least 150 general volunteers who are able and willing to haul, carry, rake, paint, clean and trim.
Also, Daily Acts working at McKinley School and Petaluma Wetlands Alliance working at Alman Marsh have requested overflow volunteers for that day. There is something for everyone. Lunch will be served, T-Shirts given.
TO VOLUNTEER REGISTER at www.rtpetaluma.org and check out the non-profit's new website!
Registration will close on October 7th.
WHEN YOU REGISTER, ENTER THE NAME OF THE PERSON OR GROUP WITH WHOM YOU WANT TO WORK IN THE FIELD THAT SAYS, "I prefer to work with the following group or persons."
After you are registered, RTP will communicate in early October important details about your workday assignment via email.
If you are unable to volunteer but want to help in some way, please consider making a donation to RTP, either online at www.rtpetaluma.org or mailed to the address below. A cash donation to RTP produces 4 times its value in home repair because of our wonderful volunteers.
