Morning hikes in West Petaluma are so much more entertaining at this time of year. How I love to spot the return of nature's woolly weed whackers up on the green hills behind homes in on the edge of town, in the Victoria neighborhood.
In a few short weeks, sheep and goats completely clear long grasses along this extensive hillside, producing a neat, tidy, chemical-free fire wall for the hot, dry months to come.

OK, so how long did it take for you to come up with "woolly weed whackers"? :-)
Hope all is going well with you and family in the UK
