Petaluma-based Della Fattoria Bakery and Cafe might be most famous for its fabulous loaves, but I think the bakery's spectacular range of Easter Egg cakes deserves a post of their own, this Spring.
Click here to order cakes ranging from a tiny vanilla with buttercream treasure for two ($10) to a large, chocolate mousse and ganache creation to serve eight ($35).
Hot Cross Buns are my Spring-season favorite, for breakfast or with mid-morning coffee (or afternoon tea - am I fussy? No!). Della and neighboring, downtown Bovine Bakery both serve tasty versions of this traditional Easter treat.
Also on Della's Easter order list are Pecan Buns, Dinner Rolls and an assortment of decorated cookies.
