Artist, Maria Bales of Petaluma has contacted me with her bright idea of making simple little pillow case dresses for distribution in Haiti.
"I'd like to find others to help make these small cotton dresses from old pillowcases," says Maria. "I also need someone to help figure out who to best distribute them to the people on the streets in Haiti who have lost everything but the clothes on their back."

A dedicated blogger, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Maria has tried her hand at all sorts of artistic endeavors, but this must surely be the sweetest.
