My friends at Petaluma Shakespeare Company are producing a festive event Bubbles & The Bard – December 21, 22, and 23rd @ 7:30pm at The Hotel Petaluma. An intimate, enchanting evening with champagne bubbles, music and the seductive, witty, wondrous sonnets of William Shakespeare. A classy and celebratory way to ring in the holidays!

Welcome! I'm Frances. I'm a British/American freelance journalist and author based in the spectacular coastal region of Sonoma County, Northern California. Along with the best of Sonoma Wine Country and neighboring Napa, Marin and Mendocino Counties, I share lifestyle, culture and travel notes from my travels around the world. I've written two non-fiction books on the food and farming culture of southern Sonoma County and coastal West Marin: Fog Valley Crush and Fog Valley Winter. My first novel (also set in Northern California), Big Green Country, was published in 2019 and won Best Western Regional Fiction in the Independent Book Publishers Awards in 2020. My second novel, The House on Liberty Street is a family drama set in Petaluma, Sonoma County and will release in December 2022.
