
Rising star Em Rossi returns to her hometown, Petaluma for the first time, this October, since moving to Los Angeles to launch her professional music career, last year.
Fresh from releasing her new single No Easy Way with Paul Smith and guitarist Carlos Calvo, Petaluma High School alum, Em will perform at Petaluma's Mystic Theatre at on Sunday, October 1st, 2017 7:30 pm. in a benefit to support the San Francisco Walk to End Alzheimer's.
The concert is open to all ages.
Nineteen-year-old Em graduated from Petaluma High in 2016 and moved to Los Angeles at the end of that same year, after making the decision to defer admission to the Berklee College of Music for vocals in order to kick start her early career in the industry.
Em is currently working with top music producer Ryan Hadlock from Bear Creek Studios.Ryan has produced for such notable artists as Train, The Lumineers and Vance Joy.
“I am extremely excited to be back in Petaluma to share with the community all that has happened,” said Em. “This show at The Mystic Theatre will definitely mean a lot to me. It will be my first official show in my hometown.”
Em's career is developing at a rapid pace. In 2016, she appeared on The Sessions at Willow Grove which aired nationwide on Comcast Xfinity On Demand in 25 million homes. At that time, she opened for the multi-platinum JUNO-Award winning band, The Tenors, who sang for Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday.
Her first two singles, Earthquake and Young Hearts were released with music videos. Both of the videos went viral on YouTube and trended in multiple countries. The young singer/songwriter followed up with an exclusive release of her next single Empty Space by the Huffington Post. Her three music videos have clocked over 4 million views.
Em's music can be found on popular apps Smule, SongFreedom, Cameo and Pandora. Her songs have also been heard in the Kevin Pollack movie, The Late Bloomer, the WWE movie, Countdown, the Mar Vista Entertainment film It Happened One Valentines and the upcoming Mar Vista Entertainment film Bridal Boot Camp. Em's songs have also been featured on American and United Airlines inflight playlists with other top label artists.
“This last year has been an absolute blur,” she said. “I have been taking more time to hide away and write on my own as well as with friends. I'm proud of the songs that have come out of it and I can't wait to share more with everyone soon!"
This will be Em’s second appearance on behalf of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Last year she was the featured performer at the Walk in San Francisco.
Opening for Em Rossi is special guest The Hip Spanic Allstars. The band is lead by Happy Sanchez who has produced music for such hits as Sopranos, Dexter, Criminal Minds, Malcolm in the Middle and Devil Wears Prada. The 12 piece band features a unique Jazzy Latin Afro Funk sound with a distinctly San Francisco vibe. Band members grew up on the Bay Area music scene and were influenced by Tower of Power and Carlos Santana.
General admission tickets for the Sunday, October 1st concert at the Mystic Theatre are $17 dollars. Same day tickets are $25. VIP seating is available with a suggested donation of $10 or more.
