"Full many a flower is born to blush unseen,
And waste it's fragrance on the desert air."
Visiting Jane Austen's House Museum — Chawton Cottage, in the Hampshire countryside, with my sister, Lindsey will be forever etched in my mind as one of life's most quietly perfect days. Far from summer's crowded throngs of England's more trafficked tourist attractions, the village of Chawton is sufficiently off-the-beaten track on a weekday, at least, that we had Jane's house to ourselves, more or less.
I'm posting on my visit is in two parts, first, given the simplicity and beauty of sharing the Jane Austen House through my lens focused on the gorgeous, freshly picked bouquets of garden flowers displayed so gently in each and every room. What is a windowsill without a little vase?
