Come on, confess. How old is your sports bra, ladies? A year, two years? Three, maybe four at a stretch?
If you are supporting (two of) your finest assets through the ups and downs of life's more energetic workouts with a threadbare number that hangs together for dear, though sporting life it is high time that you took a tip from downtown Petaluma's experts in sensible attire for the frequently bounced boob.
The ladies at Athletic Soles at the corner of 49 Petaluma Blvd and Western Ave will tell you that just like wearing the correct running shoe, sporting the correct bra can prevent injury. The support offered by a corrective sports bra apparently helps to protect 'Cooper’s' all-important Suspensory Ligaments from being over stretched. And what's more, you will learn the shocking truth that experts recommend you replace your sagging sports bra not every time you win the lotto, but rather every 6 to 12 months!
Reading this in the North Bay? ABC Channel 7 View from the Bay will be filming a story on Bra Fittings at Athletic Soles store this Wednesday, May 19th.
Co-Owner, Holly Wick says: "We will also be having a "Ladies Night" on Wednesday, May 26th at 6:30pm. Try on some new workout bras and enjoy wine and chocolate and meet the new beauty consultants from Blush!"
Chocolate, wine and a new sports bra? An uplifting opportunity to bin those sorry old bras and cut a dashing new figure when out on the trail!
If you are not in the area, Athletic Soles website features an informative run-down on how to select the right sports bra to suit your needs.

Oh my goodness, Mum, you certainly win the golden prize for the oldest sports bra in living history! Don't worry about taking up running, there's enough marathon achievers in our family already, you and I will stick to the sedate hike (around the shops!).
