It seems like the dark ages now when I think back to summer camp options when my boys were in elementary school, especially, my first born, who turns 26 at the end of this month. The pickings were slim and not too many suited to those who weren't into competitive sports.
Today there are all sorts of fabulous summer camp options for nature lovers, art & science lovers, sporty kids, those who like to read and write and cook. And all on our doorstep.
I like to promote summer camps as I remember well those long 12 weeks of summer vacation as a working mom. When the kids are happy, we're all happy!
