I thoroughly enjoy this active society's substantial quarterly magazine photos and features (and local history book reviews). Attending the annual luncheon and award ceremony was a first for me, this March. It was a pleasure to meet so many fellow history-lovers.
I was surprised to hear that there are well over 100 historical groups and organizations in Sonoma County alone. The Historical Society brings a lot of these groups together at this time of year and it is encouraging to hear of so much collaboration in the field of research and sharing of our county's richly layered history.
