Lily Biagini is a young amputee with great courage and inspiring zest for life's many adventures. She is one of the many amazing clients of Petaluma-based Giant Steps Therapeutic Equestrian Center.
When she's riding, Lily not only boosts her self confidence in leaps and bounds, she experiences true freedom. Now she's happy to channel all that love and gratitude in speaking out for the Fabulous Women community group's ongoing fundraising efforts for the Giant Steps scholarship program.
The Fabulous Women invite you to join them, neighbors, friends and families at a public fundraiser gathering at Petaluma Valley Athletic Club, 85 Old Corona Road, from 11 am to 2 pm on Saturday, April 15th.
Organizers encourage you to enjoy a short program highlighting Giant Steps riders who have found joy and success through the program. There will be horses to pet, an appetizer pot luck, live music, a dessert auction (just in time for Easter Sunday), a raffle and egg hunt. Bring an appetizer dish to share.
Lily is just one of the many clients of Giant Steps with a heart-moving story. Riders who have autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, anxiety and depression, ADD/ ADHD, developmental delays, stroke /TBI and many other physical challenges report incredible benefits from horse therapy. Learning to steer and control a horse helps riders improve their coordination, balance, motor skills, communication and social skills and critical thinking skills.
Donations of any size will be gratefully received and used to directly fund scholarships.
If you would like to help volunteer, donate raffle items, or provide a dessert auction item, please reach out to The Fabulous Women's group or call: Krista Gawronski @ 707 799-2153.
