photos: Sara Remington, Karen Shinto & Farm Photo Workshop
Photographers who enjoy capturing the essence of delicious dishes but haven't had any training in this increasingly popular field are invited to a workshop that will sharpen food photography technique and style for today's increasingly sophisticated market.
Head out to Windrush Farm, at the rustic Marin/Sonoma County border for a one day natural light food photography workshop taught by Sara Remington, renowned food photographer and Karen Shinto, top Bay Area food stylist, Saturday June 13, 2015.
Participants will gain insight into Sara's workflow as she shares her experiences in the food world. By watching Sara and Karen work collaboratively as a team, workshop attendees will learn valuable techniques and skills for lighting, composition and styling through demonstration and practice.
With guidance and feedback from Sara and Karen, each participant will work through an assignment to create new food imagery for their portfolio while learning how to incorporate detail shots of their environment into their own unique stories.
Bring your cameras! Digital, film, vintage, and experimental cameras are all welcome. However, digital editing & processing will be happening, so it would be good to have digital images to work on. Bring a laptop with Adobe Lightroom and/or Adobe Bridge & Photoshop installed. If you don’t have these programs you can download the 30-day free trials.
Farm Photo Workshop is a wonderful series of outdoor learning opportunities, developed and presented by two of my favorite photographers in the region, documentary and portrait photographer Paige Green and wedding and portrait photographer Jude Mooney.
Fee for this exclusive one day workshop is $500. Click here to register.
