Just so happens that Copperfield's Petaluma is not only my neighborhood indie bookstore, it's just a around the corner from illustrator extraordinaire Nicky Ovitt's southern Sonoma County studio.

I've been reading up a storm these past few weeks. After getting lost for hours a day in my own writing, it's fun to explore other vantage points from within the pages of a gripping novel. Right now I'm thoroughly devouring Donna Tartt's much debated, Pulitzer prize winning, best selling "It Novel" of 2014, The Goldfinch.
