In talking with a single friend on the subject of Valentine's Day, I attempted to downplay the commercial aspects of hearts and roses hoopla of one specific calendar day. She was having nothing of it. For those who love nothing more than to love and be loved, truly, madly, deeply and all that wonderful stuff, February 14th as a singleton is not likely to be top of a passionate person's holiday pops.
Santa Rosa's Schulz Museum comes up trumps on these poignant subjects of lost and unrequited love with a new exhibit in its Strip Rotation Gallery, showing now through August 11th, 2014. Heartbreak in Peanuts features over 70 original comic strips, no doubt many of which we may all relate to at one time or another, in the histories of our beating hearts.
