Just about managed to make it over to Windrush Farm annual arts and crafts sale before the end of the afternoon, on Sunday. The day had gotten away with me, but the prospect of a little drive out along Chileno Valley Road in the November sunshine for this always-lovely, annual gathering of fiber artists and their friends is one of my favorite fall picks.
As well as a pair of super-soft, hand knitted, mousey-brown hiking socks for accompanying son (see how it pays off to keep a mama company every now and again?), I couldn't resist a couple red-ribbon-tied packages of Penngrove-based Willow Farm's delectable, dried fruits and veggies for upcoming cheese platters for the holidays.
