It has been several years since Santa-Rosa headquartered family-owned home furnishing enterprise Cokas Diko had a presence in the south county.
It was a sad day for shoppers who like to stay local when the colorful, eclectic home decor and furnishing store closed one of its three shops, on Petaluma's Western Avenue.
Good news is, Cokas Diko is back in town. Having always had a penchant for Petaluma and lots of loyal customers in the area (happy now not to have to drive up north for a new pillow or two), the Cokas Diko team has taken over a charming brick and beam filled location at 21 Washington Street, downtown.
At first glance, I wondered at this choice, given the fact that there aren't any parking spots along busy Washington Street, but take a closer look and you'll find a handy-dandy delivery door in side of the old building, leading directly to a little-used parking lot around the corner off Petaluma Boulevard. Ideal for backing up a small truck for those larger furniture items.
The store is open Monday-Saturday 10-5:30 and Sun 11-5.
