I love a good browse around affordable Summer Cottage Antiques on Kentucky Street in downtown Petaluma every now and again but hardly ever take the stairs for a peek at the upper level loot.
With a few extra minutes to spare in the midst of an action packed weekend agenda activity, I did make it upstairs for a look around, on Saturday and was pleasantly surprised by several of the consignment vendors wares on display.
I particularly liked Sonoma designer Natalie Rupiper's bags and reclaimed wood traveler's board wall art, lamps and pillow covers. RuPiper Designs offers a range of refreshingly original and authentic home decor items at reasonable price points.
Keeping home decor locally sourced is just as valid an endeavor as shopping for local produce so I'm always happy to run across a Sonoma County designer that is creating extraordinary pieces for more ordinary budgets.

I have always loved that store!
