Any time of day is tea time here at Southern Sonoma Country Life hq, and I was delighted to accept an invitation to pop in for a drop of festive morning tea at a friend's vintage cottage in historic west Petaluma this week.
Even sweeter than tea and scones with whipped cream and jam (my favorite) was hostess Anastasia Schuster gathering so many great girlfriends together in the spirit of sharing the season's bounty. Tea guests arrived with armloads of non-perishable donations for the annual Salvation Army food drive.
Schuster (aka new grandmother status fondly known as Marmee) is the energy behind coordinating the Sally Army's corps of red kettle bellringers in Petaluma. Several of the city's regular ringers were there to enjoy a cuppa in the warmth of this lovely open home.
