Facebook friends shared the young naturalist in my family's sorrow at the loss of Alfreda the Great earlier this summer - the beloved 3-year-old Gargoyle Gecko who had introduced the boy to the wonders of the reptilian world.
We all knew that it was only a matter of time before some strange new critter appeared on the scene. Here she is, folks. Her name is Ginger and she is (according to the future wildlife biologist) a one-year-old Dalmation Crested Gecko native to New Caledonia.
Just another colorful addition to life on Rivetti Mountain.......

She's BIG!
