We picked up a portable pump when YardBirds was going out of business, ran the hose down through the bathroom vanity and out into the yard. Now when we take a bath, we just pull the pump from under the sink and drop it into the bathtub: Instant greywater system.

My sweety does baths (which she can now not feel guilty about because we do the greywater thing with baths). I haven't steeled myself to taking a shower with the drain plug in place, but maybe I should.

Frances and your readers,

I thought I would share with you a website that may inspire your readers to incorporate habits into our daily life that will help make our planet a better place. [TEN HABITS for SACRED LIVING]

What a terrific web site, so simple and refreshing a read. Thanks for the tip, Deb!

I like the idea of the sub pump from the bath tub, Dan, thanks for sharing. I, too am somewhat of a bathing belle, having grown up in the UK in the 60s and 70s where we were taught to make the most of resources and took turns in the tub with various siblings, on the age before beauty rota!
