Get your socks on, Petaluma People Services could do with your help next Saturday night, down at the Boulevard Lanes. For the well-worthy, annual PPSC Rock n' Bowl event has a few free lanes still waiting to be filled by fun-loving groups of philanthropic friends and families or caring work colleagues.
The event helps feed hungry homebound seniors, provides counseling to families and youth in need, assists with homelessness prevention, assists single parents to find employment, provides adult day care for seniors with Alzheimers to stay at home with loved ones, door-to-door transportation and much, much more.

It's been a while since this blogger has hung out down at the Boulevard Lanes on a Friday night, so I was intrigued to check of the scene during drinks in the Boulevard Lane Bar last night for a girlfriend's birthday. Could this be Petaluma's best kept secret? The bar down there is kind of like an old, cozy pub, just waiting for a crowd to liven it up. The birthday girl rustled up a big group of pals for her impromptu gathering of a private, little retro pub party that could catch on. Next time you are looking for a meeting place for a casual beer with a group of friends, head south on the Boulevard and give the bar at the lanes your biz!
