Jude Mooney's portrait photography is so remarkably dreamy, timelessly transcending fashion and trends (not to mention those tacky backgrounds favored by standard portrait studios) and certain to maintain pride of place in the family hall of fame for generations to come.
Once a year, Jude's fellow Petalumans are invited to partake in her handy-dandy annual Blankiedolly Portrait Day, in which their little lovelies are able to sit for holiday pics at a special rate.
This Saturday only (November 22, 2025), from 10am to 2pm, portraits sittings are available on a drop-in basis at 423 A Street (Cross 6th), Petaluma, CA 94952. If you'd prefer an appointment during that time frame be sure to phone ahead (707) 778 1928.
Blankiedolly portraits are so named for the favorite toys which turn up in the arms of many of the youngsters Jude has photographed over the years. Siblings or groups up to four are fine.
Prices are as follows:
$50 color digital, includes sitting fee and on-line gallery. Reprint prices $7 to $20.
$100 black and white film, includes sitting fee, on-line gallery and one 8x10 fiber print. Fiber reprint price $50 per additional 8x10.
Jude photographed my family here in the vines on Rivetti mountain on a memorable, misty November day a couple of years ago. It is incredible to see how much the boys have grown and altered in that time. Blankiedolly day is an ideal opportunity to forever capture this very season in the life of someone you love and you'll be glad you did!
