Taking the Plunge - A Website of One's Own

Well, I finally did it. Actually, the incredibly capable Kathy of SixDegreesStudio did it to be precise. Built me a marvelous little web site of my own.

Taking a couple of my favorite photos from the Sonoma Country Life archive (snapped with my trusty Cannon Powershot G7), a writer's headshot taken by my nine-year-old one afternoon as I was typing away at the dining room table, and a selection of my more recent magazine clippings, SixDegreesStudio was able to capture the essence of a freelance writer's methods of madness and make it into something that makes sense to prospective editors.

Sort of like sifting through a notebook of shorthand and creating a succint and effective mini feature! I'd been thinking of putting a web site together for a couple of years. Hi Carole, hope biz is still good for you in the UK now that the ripple effect from the dreadful state of financial affairs in the States is shaking things up elsewhere around the world. Was glad to hear that trusty old Barclays Banks was one of the British financial institutions to come to the rescue of at least a part of the U.S. banking debacle!
