First diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia in 2000, Merleen managed to control the disease with chemo from 2002 to 2005. Over the past 15 year's this determined grandma of two has wholeheartedly thrown herself into volunteering for the annual Butter and Eggs Day, the Boys and Girls Club and the Carousel Fund, which raises funds for critically ill children.
Now it is Merleen's turn to ask for your favor. A tasty New York Steak dinner is planned for the May 17th fundraising event, with doors opening at 5pm. Tickets are available at various locations throughout Petaluma, such is Merleen's widespread popularity.
