Joel Salatin, internationally renowned guru of Beyond Organic Local Sustainable Farming is set to return to Petaluma to speak about the importance of diverse, beyond-organic farms that offer educational programs.
Salatin's of Polyface Farms (as seen in Food Inc.) and Omnivores Dilemma fame, author of Folks, This Ain't Normal, You Can Farm, and Salad Bar Beef. He'll be here on Sunday, April 15th, 2012, for a fundraiser launching Tara Firma Farms Institute, a nonprofit organization that will further the mission of education regarding Real Food Farming.

Exciting stuff! I was blessed to have met Joel when he was out at the farm a couple of years ago and heard his delightful presentation.
He's gifted with passion and expertise, both needed to make it in this challenging though exciting industry of sustainable agriculture.
